I hope your summer is kicking off to a great start! My family and I are enjoying the mild weather and the beaches here in Massachusetts; my preferred writing spot has moved from the desk by the window to our back deck (the hammock is reserved for research and submissions).

This spring saw three academic productions of one-acts: Recommendation at Hamilton College, Postpartum at University of Evansville, and The Eighteenth Quinquennial Endlings Picnic at Bergen Academies Arts High School. I’ve loved chatting with these student directors and seeing their committed takes on three very different short plays. (One young director sent me her 100 page thesis paper on her process!)

An audio version of Postpartum was also released on Gather By The Ghostlight from the Broadway Podcast Network earlier this month, and is available on all podcasting platforms!

The Female Gaze (a reimagining of the Medusa myth) was produced as part of Duluth Playhouse’s annual That’s What She Said Festival in May. (I can’t get over the amazing costume work on this one!)

After several years of development in partnerships with Whiskey Theatre Factory, The Athena Project, and Angels Theatre Company, my queer historical dramedy Romeo & Her Sister had its world premiere at New Hampshire Theatre Project this June, directed by Courtney St. Gelais and starring NHTP artist liaison Amy DesRosiers as Charlotte Cushman. Four performances remain this coming weekend!
